OUT! Bowled. Oshane Thomas to Wahab Riaz. Half volley, off stump backing away driving, missed to.

And that is the end of that. Brilliant performance from the West Indies bowlers to start their campaign as they skittled out Pakistan for 105 with a mixture of short and quick bowling. The Pakistan batting attack crumbled like a pack of cards while Oshane Thomas finished with figures of 4-27 on his World Cup debut. Should be an easy chase for West Indies but Pakistan will come out firing and hope to restore some pride.

SIX! Jason Holder to Wahab Riaz. Back of a length, outside off stump backing away pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep square leg for 6 runs. Not quite the venom in this short ball to trouble Wahab. At a good height to connect with and sent way back into the stands.

OUT! Caught. Oshane Thomas to Mohammad Hafeez. Short, outside off stump on the back foot hooking, Spliced in the air uncontrolled to fine leg, by Cottrell. Possibly the best short ball we have seen today. Right on the money and Hafeez was in all sorts of trouble as the ball headed towards the badge on his helmet. High on the bat as he turned his head and it was a brilliant catch from Cottrell running in off the boundary

OUT! Caught. Jason Holder to Hassan Ali. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Slog, Spliced in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Cottrell. Not a good shot at all in this situation. Clearing the front leg and looking to slap the ball out of the park. Definitely a shot of a man who didn't fancy taking on the short stuff.

SIX! Wahab Riaz to Nicholas Pooran. Short, outside off stump backing away pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Finished in fine style. Backing away and giving himself space to clear the arms and the boundary.
West Indies have run away as winners in a very one-sided match. Chasing down 105 was never going to be difficult and once Chris Gayle got going the match was over. His 50 from 34 along with Pooran's 34 from 19 were the bright points in the innings and they gave the spectators plenty of things to cheer about.
With such a big loss Pakistan will have to regroup and come out firing on Monday against England, who they just lost to 4-0.

OUT! Caught. Mohammad Amir to Chris Gayle. Off cutter back of a length, outside off stump backing away Slog, top edge in the air uncontrolled to backward point, by Khan. Pakistan are not going down without a fight. Amir takes a third wicket and the big one of Chris Gayle for 50. Deceived by a good change of pace while the off cutter bounced a little more and found the top edge. Easy stuff for backward point.
