Sherfane Rutherford struck immediately with his first ball, and the Tridents' relentless attack bundled Guyana Amazon Warriors out for a meager total of 99 runs in 18.1 overs. Driven by an all-round masterclass from their bowling unit, Barbados set up a comfortable target of 100 runs to seal a decisive victory on home soil.
Up for a quick chat - Johann Layne started off by describing his home crowd debut as bittersweet, admitting the performance did not go entirely as planned despite the personal milestone of taking his first wicket. Outlining his bowling plan during that specific over, he explained that the objective was simply to target the top of off stump, an area he had been practicing consistently, acknowledging that while he lost his radar briefly in the middle, he just needs to refine that length and build from there. Crediting his preparation, he highlighted the intense training sessions under head coach Ravi Rampaul and the support staff, noting that his execution on the field was a direct result of extensive work in the nets.
Rebuilding act falters - As the middle overs unfolded, spin continued to suffocate any chance of a recovery. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Romario Shepherd and Quentin Sampson from the lower middle order attempted to steady the ship with patient rebuilding acts, but they never really got the better of the opposition's bowlers.
Powerplay mayhem - After opting to bowl first Barbados Tridents made a dream start, turning the Powerplay into an early nightmare for Guyana Amazon Warriors. AM Ghazanfar delivered an electric opening spell, tearing through the upper order in tandem with George Linde. Together, they reduced Guyana to a staggering collapse, removing top-order and upper-middle threats for single-digit scores, except Glenn Phillips, and leaving the Warriors reeling early in the contest.

Skipper of Guyana Amazon Warriors - Imran Tahir says the pitch got better but there was some poor shot selection from their side, and the plan remains pretty much the same as they are capable of doing anything, noting that they have been put in tough situations but have done well this season and are grateful for the support they have been getting.
Skipper of Barbados Tridents - Chris Green says it was their home leg, the last leg, and every team will tell how important the home leg is, adding that he is really happy with the efforts and the way they dominated and is looking forward to playing Jamaica on Wednesday. He says they have been chasing under-par totals and getting the job done, and while he loses tosses for fun, he somehow won the last five tosses and does not know how that happened, adding that they know Jamaica will come eager to knock them down.
POTM - AM Ghazanfar wins the award for his spell of 3 for 17. AM Ghazanfar says that he just trusted his skills and the rest took care of itself. He adds that he likes to bowl in the Powerplay and take on that challenge. AM Ghazanfar adds that he is loving his time in the country, as the people just love their cricket.

King and Shadreck seal the chase - Chasing a modest target of 100, Barbados' pursuit got off to a shaky start, reducing them to a precarious 36 for 3 within the 7th over. However, as tension mounted, Brandon King and Shadrack Descarte joined forces. The duo launched a brilliant, counter-attacking partnership that deflated the GAW bowling attack, helping Barbados comfortably across the finish line.
Barbados spin and pace stunner - The Barbados bowlers capably exploited the conditions to keep the batters completely shackled.
