... THE RUN CHASE ...
The late flourish and fall - The hosts' relief was short-lived as Dewald Brevis counter-attacked with a crisp 37 off 30 balls before Eathan Bosch launched total carnage at the death. Bosch played an electric cameo of 29 off only 13 deliveries to catapult the scoring rate. However, they then lost 4 wickets for just 8 runs, preventing them from a big finish, but South Africa still powered their way to 335 on the board, leaving Namibia facing a monumental chase. Namibia strike back in the middle overs - Just when the visitors looked set for total dominance, Namibia clawed their way back into the contest. Ruben Trumpelmann broke the massive partnership by having Esterhuizen caught in the 36th over. Brassell quickly followed by removing de Zorzi, and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton bowled Matthew Breetzke for 4. With three wickets tumbling for just 19 runs, Namibia briefly stemmed the flow of boundaries and slowed South Africa's surge.
The century stand sets the tone - Namibia began brightly after opting to bowl, with Jack Brassell removing Jordan Hermann early for 20. However, Connor Esterhuizen and Tony de Zorzi completely seized control with a sensational 183-run stand for the second wicket. Esterhuizen went on the offensive, bringing up a magnificent 119 off 110 deliveries, highlighted by eight fours and six towering sixes. De Zorzi provided brilliant support with a fluent 79, firmly putting South Africa in the driver's seat.
A couple of byes to end the innings! Jack Brassell lands this back of a length and on middle, Nqobani Mokoena swings but misses. Nqabayomzi Peter sets off to steal the bye but Mokoena is a bit late to react. The keeper misses his underarm throw at the stumps. Brassell picks up the ball, and he too misses his shy at the other end, allowing an extra run as well. South Africa finish on 335/9!
SIX! Just goes over! Jack Brassell goes a bit fuller and on off. Nqobani Mokoena lofts it high towards long off. The fielder thinks he is in the game, but the breeze takes the ball over his outstretched hands and over the ropes for a biggie.
Hard length and on middle, Nqabayomzi Peter tries to heave it away but misses as the ball goes off his pads towards point. A leg bye taken.
A yorker, on off, Nqobani Mokoena swings at it but gets an inside edge just past the stumps towards fine leg for a run.

OUT! IN THE AIR..GONE! Full again and on middle, Prenelan Subrayen clears his front leg to loft it down the ground but does not get it off the middle of the bat. It flies high in the air towards long on, where Gerhard Erasmus once again makes no mistake. Brassell gets his fourth and he has four balls to get a fifer here.

OUT! TAKEN! Jan Balt gets his second in the over. He floats it up, full and on middle. Duan Jansen looks to go big down the ground but fails to get under it. He fails to get the elevation as the ball flies straight to long on, where Gerhard Erasmus takes another good catch. South Africa are in danger of getting bowled out here, despite a good batting effort.

OUT! BOWLED'EM! Jan Balt strikes here. He pushes this one through quicker, full and on middle and leg. Jason Smith gets down on one knee for the slog sweep but this is too full for that shot. The ball sneaks under his bat and rattles into the stumps behind. South Africa are 317/7 now.

OUT! CAUGHT! Jack Brassell has the last laugh here. He goes full and around off. Eathan Bosch tries to mow it down the ground but his bat turns in his hands upon contact. He mistimes it high in the air towards long off, where Gerhard Erasmus settles under it and pouches it safely. A good little cameo from Bosch comes to an end.
In the blockhole, just outside off, Eathan Bosch steps across to flick it away but misses.
SIX! Third of the over now! Jack Brassell goes fuller, on middle and leg. Eathan Bosch picks it off his pads and whips it over the deep square leg fence for half a dozen more.
Back of a length and around off, gets some extra bounce. Eathan Bosch has a swipe across the line but misses.
SIX! That's just a gift! A high full toss, on off, there to be put away. Eathan Bosch makes no mistake and smashes it over the deep mid-wicket fence for a biggie. The third umpire checks for a No Ball, but it is just under the waist of the batter.
SIX! Just over! Fuller in length and around off, Eathan Bosch tries to hit it through the line but gets a bit of a top edge. It flies towards long off, where Gerhard Erasmus thinks he is in the game, but only watches it sail over his head for a biggie. 300 UP FOR SOUTH AFRICA!

One final chance for Namibia - That brings us to the end of this rather one-sided affair, with South Africa sealing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. They will now have their sights set on a clean sweep, while Namibia will be eager to finish the series on a positive note. The victorious skipper of South Africa - Prenelan Subrayen says that it's a relief for him to get the series win and the guys played really well. He reckons that the guys have their own plans, and it worked really well. When asked about the Brevis catch, he says that Dewald Brevis is a great fielder and it was expected from him to take that great catch
The captain of Namibia - Gerhard Erasmus says the margin of defeat is pretty big, and they were aiming to compete strongly and put themselves in a better position to win at home. He admits they are not happy with the result. He backs the decision to bowl first, explaining that the plan was to make early inroads and restrict South Africa below par. He feels better execution with the ball could have kept them to 270-290, which would have given Namibia a stronger chance, especially with the ground's short side making totals difficult to defend. Erasmus says the positives include getting more experience against a quality South African side, with Jack Brassell's four wickets and a few useful contributions with the bat also standing out. He adds that Namibia need seven or eight players to step up and push South Africa closer, which could provide valuable momentum over the next few months, while there is still plenty to play for on Sunday.
Presentation Time...
Proteas' pace attack delivers - The pace duo of Duan Jansen and Ethan Bosch made the new ball talk, troubling the batters from the outset and sharing two wickets in the Powerplay. Brevis was electric in the field too, pulling off a one-handed stunner and effecting a run-out that broke the hosts' only significant stand. South Africa were always in control, though they may have hoped to finish things off sooner after such a strong start. Nqobani Mokoena removed Gerhard Erasmus before Jansen and Bosch returned to wrap up the win without much fuss.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Connor Esterhuizen wins the award for his brilliant knock of 119 off 110 balls. He says that it means a lot and the win was more important. He reckons that the opener's job is to get your team to a good start and it went well for him, and he got a big score. He ends by saying that in an ODI game you absorb the pressure and carry on.
Strong start, sluggish finish - Earlier in the game, South Africa piled on 335, built around a magnificent 183-run stand between Connor Esterhuizen and Tony de Zorzi. Esterhuizen brought up his maiden ODI hundred, while De Zorzi played an excellent hand of 79. Dewald Brevis and Eathan Bosch added quick cameos, but South Africa lost their way towards the end, slipping from 283/5 to 335/9. It was a tough day in the field for Namibia, although Jack Brassell starred with a four-wicket haul, while Ruben Trumpelmann and Jan Balt picked up two apiece and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton chipped in with one.
A tough chase unravels - Namibia endured a nightmare start to the chase, losing their top three batters for ducks and slumping to 1/3 in pursuit of a huge target. They never truly recovered from that early setback. Skipper Gerhard Erasmus stood firm and kept the scoreboard moving, but with little support around him, Namibia soon slipped to 59/6. Erasmus finally found an able partner in Jan Balt, with the pair mounting a spirited fightback through an excellent 71-run stand, as the captain also brought up a well-deserved fifty. However, a mix-up brought the partnership to an abrupt end, and once Erasmus fell for 68, the innings unravelled quickly. Trumpelmann's fighting 30 was the only notable contribution thereafter as Namibia were eventually bowled out for 178.
South Africa too strong once again - South Africa have delivered another dominant performance in Windhoek, outplaying the hosts in every facet to take an unassailable 2-0 lead and seal the series. The difference has largely been their experience in the format, with the Proteas seizing the key moments while Namibia struggled to do the same. Still, it has been a valuable learning experience for the hosts and one that should hold them in good stead going forward.

Waldo Smith gets stuck in his crease and tries to work it across the line but gets late to put his bat down and gets hit on the pad right in front of the stumps. There is n appeal for LBW, and up goes the finger right away. South Africa are just one wicket away from sealing the series here.
Pushed through quicker, shortish and outside off. Ruben Trumpelmann tries to cut it away but gets a thick outside edge. It hits Connor Esterhuizen's pads before he can even react and rolls to short third.
FOUR! Another boundary! Dragged back once more, on middle and leg. Ruben Trumpelmann moves back and pulls it away behind square on the leg side for four more runs.
Short again, on off, Ruben Trumpelmann punches it towards cover.
